In this kit you can make a charming little Apple brooch in Metalwork embroidery with a 3D shaded leaf, the 1st design in Becky’s new ‘Pocket kit’ series!

The Apple is embroidered on cotton with a shimmery red metallic Passing (metal thread). The red metal thread is couched (sewn over) in position using 2 shades of green cotton.
The raised embroidered silk shaded leaf is worked separately and cut out, sculpted then attached to the Apple.

The design can be cut out and finished off to make a brooch using the French safely pin in the kit.

Clear illustrated instructions will guide you through this hand embroidery project. In addition you can find ‘the making of’ on Becky’s Instagram @beckyhoggembroidery.

The finished Apple embroidery measures approximately 3.5×2.5cm.

All the kits are designed by Becky Hogg Embroidery and produced by hand in the U.K.

Kit includes – Wooden hoop, Calico, Sewing threads, x2 Stranded cottons, Vilene, French safety pin, Red metal thread, Gold Pearl purl, Needles and Paper covered wire.

Every kit includes a complimentary beeswax bee for strengthening your sewing threads!

This kit is suitable for all levels, but not advisable for children.
